At Ruqi Consulting, we understand that leadership in complex systems isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about learning to sit with uncertainty, stay connected to your values, and hold space for others while things evolve.
The Reflective Leadership Program is a reflective, trauma-informed program for current and emerging leaders working in high-pressure, human-facing sectors—mental health, justice, health, community services, and not-for-profits.
This is not a skills-based training. It’s a place to pause, think deeply, and reconnect with who you are as a leader—what anchors you, what stretches you, and what needs to shift for your leadership to feel more aligned, sustainable, and real.
Who it’s for
The Reflective Leadership Program has been developed for people working in complex, human-centred systems - where the stakes are high, change is constant, and the emotional load is real. It’s designed for those who are in, or stepping into, senior leadership roles where they hold responsibility for people, strategy, systems, or culture.
You may be:
Leading a service, program, or portfolio across sectors such as mental health, justice, health, or community services
Navigating complex reforms, restructures, or change processes
Managing teams impacted by trauma, burnout, or high relational demand
Holding dual responsibilities—operational oversight and cultural leadership
Preparing to step into a more senior or strategic role and want to lead with greater clarity and confidence
Supporting others while trying to stay connected to your own values and wellbeing
This program is especially suited for leaders who are asking themselves deeper questions about how to lead in ways that are sustainable, relational, and aligned with purpose.
You don’t need to have the right language or answers. You just need the willingness to reflect, the courage to be honest, and the desire to grow your leadership in a way that feels more like you.
What the Unfolding Leadership Program explores:
What’s guiding you?
We begin with the fundamentals: values, purpose, identity. You’ll explore what drives your leadership -beyond the to-do list - and how to lead with integrity in the midst of complexity and change.
What does trauma ask of us as leaders?
You’ll explore how trauma shows up in systems - not just in people, but in culture, communication, and expectations. We reflect on what it means to lead in a way that builds trust and safety, without losing accountability or clarity.
How do teams behave under pressure - and what’s your role in that?
Teams carry emotion, history, and habits. You’ll unpack the group dynamics that arise in systems under strain and explore how to support teams to become more connected, honest, and resilient.
How do we speak to what matters - when it’s uncomfortable?
This theme helps you step into challenging conversations with care. You’ll explore how to manage feedback, conflict, and rupture in ways that protect relationships while holding clarity and respect.
What does leadership look like when the future’s uncertain?
In shifting environments, leadership isn’t about control - it’s about presence. You’ll explore adaptive leadership and how to stay grounded when the path forward isn’t fully visible.
Can supervision be a space for growth, not just oversight?
We reimagine supervision as a reflective and relational practice. You’ll explore operational and trauma-informed models - including the Seven-Eyed Model - and how to make supervision meaningful, not just functional.
Where is your leadership unfolding?
Midway through the program, you’ll take part in a one-on-one coaching session - a space for reflection, clarity, and deeper integration of your own leadership questions and goals.
What are you carrying forward?
We close by naming what’s shifted. In our final gathering, you’ll articulate your leadership philosophy - what you stand for, how you want to lead, and how you’ll continue to grow. It’s a gentle but powerful moment of clarity.
